NICHOLAS SIMON, OF NEENAH, WISCONSIN.
DESIGN FOR A CLOTH-HOLDER FOR CHEESE-MOLDS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,758, dated July 9, 1901.
Application filed May 2'7, 1901. Serial N0. 62,171. Terin of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, NICHOLAS SIMON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Neenah, in the county of Winnebago and State of Wisconsin, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Cloth-Holder for a Cheese-Mold, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, in which a perspective view of the holder is shown.
As shown in the drawing, the leading features of my design consist of a long narrow strip of sheet metal 1, bent into a square form, and producing thereby a square inclosure, each of the four sides being provided with ears 2 2 2 2 and 2, Which are bent over at about a right angle to the sides, the principal and intermediate portion of their outer edges being parallel with their respective sides aforesaid, the outer edges of the end portions of each ear being straight lines extending from the aforesaid outer parallel edges to the upper edge of the square at one of the four corners of said square inclosure, the ends of the strip being arranged to meet midway the length of one of its sides. A keeper 3, of a small rectangular form, is formed of a piece of sheet metal doubled together, so as to form a slot between its leaves for receiving the ends of the ears 2 and 2", one end of it being secured as by riveting it to the ear2 and the other end projecting beyond the end of said ear for receiving the ear 2 and holding said ears in alinement With each other, While allowing the holder to expand or contract slightly for fitting the inside of the cheesemold for which it is designed.
Having described my said invention, What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The design for the cloth-holder for a cheesemold as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name in the presence of two subscribing witnesses. I
NICHOLAS SIMON. Witnesses:
S. D. BAIRD, L. A. RosENrHAL.
