' -Orva- To all persons to whom these presents may come Beit known that I, J ON "TAGGART, of Boston, in the county of Suffolk, and State of Massachusetts,
have invented a new and ornamental Design, Form,v
or Configuration for GrateForks; and do hereby declare the same tube fully described in the following specification, and represented in the accompanying drawings, of which.
Figure 1 is a top view;
Figure 2, a bottom view; and
Figures 3 and 4, opposite side elevations of it.
In the construction of what are termed grate-forks, two of the implements shown in the accompanying drawings are to be laid one against the other, and connected by a common centre-pin, going through the joint-part a of each, the same being as shown in Figure 5.
The inner face b of the joint is in a plane with the medial line of the series of prongs o ccc. These prongs are curved, so that the series may form a concave claw A.
The shankB projecting from the claw, is curved between the joint-part and the claw.
1t is also curved from the front'part to the handlepart d, which is convex transversely ou its upper side, and concave transversely on its lower side, and has au elongated aperture, e, formed through, in manner as represented.
Figure 6 is a transverse section of the handle. Figure 7, a transverse section of the shank between the handle and the joint-part.
` Figure 8 is a transverse section between the jointpart and the claw.
Figure 9 is a transverse section of the series of prongs or the claw.
I claim as my invention, the design for a grate-fork substantially as above described, and as represented in the accompanying drawings.
