lnvontoz UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
MAURICE REINSTEIN, OF PORTLAND, OREGON.
DESIGN FOR A CIGAR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,602, dated June 4, 1901. Application filed April 22, 1901. Serial No. 57,024. Term of patent 14; years.
To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MAUEIoE REINsTEIN, a 'citizen of the United States, residing at Portland, in the county of Multnomah andState of Oregon, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cigars; and I do doclare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective view. Fig. 2 is a central vertical section. Fig. 3 is a horizontal central section; and Fig. 1 is a crosssection on the line A A, Fig. 2.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a rounded thickened body 1, gradually decreasing in cross-section toward one end, as at 2, and its opposite end gradually tapering, as at 3, from which point it merges into an elliptical formation in cross-section, as shown at 4. A ridge 5 is formed on the extreme outer end of the elliptical formation, said rib being prominent on the upper and lower sides of the portion 4. and gradually vanishes as it reaches the sides thereof. A tapered open ing 6 is formed in the end 4, said opening merging from near the outer edges of said end toward the center of the same, the upper and lower walls of which extend in toward the thickened body 1, where they meet, while the remaining surrounding walls 8 8 spread out somewhat from the center and for a distance are parallel, as at 9.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Let ters Patent, is-
The design for a cigar, as herein shown and described.
MAURICE REIN STEIN.
