UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ELMORE J. WORST, OF ASI-ILAND, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR AN INHALER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,238, dated March 19, 1901.
; Application filed February 13, 1901. Serial No. 47,189- Term of patent 7 years.
To ctZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ELMORE J. WORST, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ashland, in the county of Ashland and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Inhalers; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
In the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification, Figure l repre sents a perspective view of an inhaler embodying my new design. Fig. 2 is a vertical section thereof, and Fig. 3 is a horizontal section taken on line 3 3 of Fig.
The inhaler embodying my design consists, essentially, of a hollow cylindrical body closed at its ends and having a tubular mouthpiece of reduced diameter entered near the lower end thereof and extending parallel therewith adjacent thereto to within a short distance of its upper end, where the two members are encircled by a band and from whence said mouthpiece extends upward on a slight curve or bend away from the body to within a short distance above the same, said hollow body having also a reduced tubular extension or inhaling-tube protruding from the top thereof, as shown.
The letter A in the drawings designates the hollow or tubular body of the inhaler, and B the mouthpiece, which lies adjacent thereto, except its upper portion, which is bent or curved away from the said body.
The letter C denotes a band embracing the two members near the upper end of the'body A and having the appearance of binding them together.
The letter I) designates the reduced extension or inhaling-tube, protruding from the top of the hollow body and having its upper portion bent out of the plane of the lower portion thereof away from said mouthpiece.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
The design for an inhaler, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
ELMORE J. WORST.
