UNITED STATES PATENT @EFIGE.
FRANK F. KEELER, OF INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA.
DESIGN FOR A SPRING.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 35,507, dated December 31, 1901.
Application filed November 19, 1901. Serial No. 82,924. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern;
Be it known that I, FRANK F. KEELER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Indianapolis, in the county of Marion and State of Indiana, have invented and prod need a new and original Design for Springs, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to conical springs in which the body and extended base are comro posed of one piece of material; and the purpose of the invention is to provide a design for such a spring the contour of which has a combined distinctive characteristic and usefulness. Referring to the accompanying drawings, which are made a part hereof and on which similar numerals of reference indicate similar parts, Figure 1 is a plan view of a spring designed according to my invention. Fig. 2
is a side elevation of the same, and Fig. 3 is an end elevation thereof.
The leading features of my spring reside in the general contour of the spiral and base. The bottom or lower concentric strand of the wire 1, of which the spring is composed, terminates into and forms the extended basearms 2 and 3, which extend in opposite directions from each other.
Having thus fully described my said invention, what I desire to secure by Letters Pat- 3o ent is The design for a spring, substantially as herein shown and described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, at Indianapolis, Indiana, this 12th day of November, A. D. 1901.
