DESIGN FOR A FABRIC.

Application filed J snuary 23, 1901. Serial No. 44,476. lrm of patent 14 years.
To all whom it Marty concern,.-
Be it known that I, DAVID J. SEAMAN, a citizen of the United States, residingat South Bend, in the county of St. Joseph and State of Indiana, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Fabrics, of which the following is a specification, reference be ing had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
This design relates to the ornamentation of cotton, silk, woolen, paper, eelluloid, and other fabrics.
In the drawing I have shown a plan View of my design.
The leading feature of the design is the representation of stems running along or upon the surface of the material and holly-leaves lying upon the stems and interspersed with holly-berries. The stems A run in a sinuous path and substantially parallel, and the leaves appear to spring from the stems, the leaves B following the direction of the stems, while the leaves C, between the leaves B, dart from the stems at an angle to the general direction of the saine. The berries D are scattered along the stems adjacent to the edges of the leaves, a bn nch of the berries appearing between the leaves C. Additional leaves E, in a lighter shade, appear below or along the edges of the leaves B C and in the spaces between the said leaves, below the berries.
What I claim is- The design for a fabric described and shown.
In testimony whereof I have signed this specification in the presence of two witnesses.
