To (1. whom/ it may concern;
Be it known thatl, DAVID J. SEAMAN, acitizen of the United States of America, residing at South Bend,in the countyof St. Joseph and State of Indiana, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Fabrics, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.
This design relates to the ornamentation of cotton, silk, woolen, paper, celluloid, and other fabrics.
In the drawing I have shown a plan view of my design.
The leading feature of the design is the representation of a holly leaves and berries running continuously along or upon the surface of the fabric in a compound curve, with straggling sprays of leaves and berries extending therefrom at intervals. The leaves Aappear compactly along a com pound curve, and the berries B are seen between the edges of the leaves. Occasional glimpses of stems O are shown along the outer edges of the leaves. Springing outward from the convex portions of the curve described by the leaves A are short sprays E, havinga straggling appearance and directed generally toward the adjacent concave portions of the curve.
