UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DAVID J. SEAMAN, OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
DESIGN FOR FABRIC.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,428, dated April 23, 1901. Application filed April 1, 1901. Serial No- 53,978. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom, it may concern/.2
Be it known that I, DAVID J. SEAMAN, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at South Bend, in the county of St. Joseph and State of Indiana, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Fabrics, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part hereof.
This design relates to the ornamentation of cotton, silk, woolen, paper, celluloid, and other fabrics.
In the drawing I have shown a plan view of my design.
The leading feature of the design is the representation of streamers of holly leaves and berries and bells depending from the meeting ends or points of the streamers. The holly-leaves A are arranged to form a thick string running upward in arcs of circles and having their ends meeting a ribbon bow or streamer B. The leaves gradually diminish in size toward the ends of the streamers and appear to be held by the bow B. Berries C appear interspersed between and along the leaves. A bell D appears suspended from the bow B between the ends of the arcs described by the leaves.
What I claim is The design for a fabric herein described and shown.
In testimony whereof I have signed this specification in the presence of two attesting witnesses.
DAVID J. SEAMAN.
