UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
PATRICK BARNARD ROONEY, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A CORNER-IRON FOR BED-FRAMES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,866, dated January 8, 1901.
Application filed December 6, 1900. b'erial No. 331969 Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom, it may concern.
Be it known that I, PATRICK BARNARD Roo- NEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Corner- Irons forBed-frames; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying d rawings, forming a part thereof.
My invention relates to a new and original design for corner-irons for bed-frames, and its leading and material features will be fully understood from the following description and claim when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which Figure l is a perspective view of a corneriron, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is an inverted perspective view of the same.
In said drawings similar letters of reference designate corresponding parts in both views, referring to which- A is a frame of rectangular form in crosssection. This frame has a lip B, formed by the extension of one of its walls beyond the others, and is provided at one side and in line with one of its walls with a lateral flange O of rectangular shape. Said flange is connected to the lower edge of the frame by a web D, which is disposed at right angles to the flange and is gradually increased in width from its outer to its inner end, at which latter point it corresponds in width to the frame A.
The lower edge of the front side of the frame is cut upwardly in approximately semi circular form in cross-section and has a projection E of the same form in cross-section extending therefrom, while at the back of the lower edge of the frame a semicircular depending lip F is provided.
G is ahorizontal partition which is pro vided with an an aperture H and is located near the bottom of the frame A.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a corner-iron for bed-frames, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
PATRICK BARNARD ROONEY.
