MESS? gg A TTORNEY UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
GEORGE T. TURNER, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR AN AUTOMOBILE-FRAME.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,003, dated July 24, 1900.
Application filed May 16, 1900. Serial No.16,926. Term of patent 14 years- To all whom it may concern/.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE T. TURNER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for an Automobiledi'rame, of which the follow ing is a specification.
Reference is had to the accompanying drawing, forming part hereof, in which the figure is a perspective view of my new frame.
As shown in the drawing, my design consists of upper bars A and B, each of which is practically straight for a suitable distancesay from m to 1 Then from ac they have a general forward and upward direction. From as backward they have a backward upward direction to a connecting rod or brace C, to which they are secured at c a, the general outline of said upper bars being an elongated U shape. It also consists of lower bars D and E, which are of the same outline as A and B from 1- forward, but from said point backward they do not follow the direction of the upper bars and terminate in suitable holders for the axle-hangers, being supported by struts G and H and also by means of the brace I, the general rear direction of said upper and lower bars forming a Y shape at each side of the frame. The upper and lower bars are attached to each other by uprights J and K, and to the forward ends of the said bars are secured beads L L for the steeringbars of an automobile.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure byLettcrs Patent, is-
The design for an automobile-frame herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
GEORGE T. TURNER.
