DESIGN FOR A WEED-CHAIN HOOK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,485, dated April 10, 1900. Application filed March 16,1900. Serial No- 8,999- Term of patent 14 years.
To ni/ whom it 12mg concern.-
.l3e it known that I, CHARLES F. l-IEINE, a citizen of the United States, residing atModoc, in the county of Randolph and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a \Veed-Chain Hook; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to a design for weedchain hooks for agricultural implements, of novel formation and outlined and adapted to be attached to any beam.
The design consists of a frame of Fl form, constituting a clam p member and a hook, forrning a continuation of a leg oi the frame and projecting outward therefrom, the hook and frame being in the same plane.
The design consists of the novel outline and configuration which hereinafter will be more particularlydesoribed, and shown in thedrawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view, and Fig. 2 a front view, of the hook.
Corresponding and like parts are indicated in both views of the drawings by ihc same reference characters and the same are used in the description to designate the parts when making reference thereto.
The frame consists of the horizontal bar 1 and the vertical bars or legs 2 and 73, extending in parallelism. The leg 3 has a threaded opening 4 to receive a clamp-screw. (Not shown.) The leg 2 is longer than the leg 3 and its lower end curves outwardly and upwardlyJ'orming the hook 5, to which the drag chain (not shown) is attached. The frame forms a clamp member by means of which the device is attached to a beam and the hook 5 receives the drag-chain. The bars of the frame are rectangular in cross-sectimnwhereas the cross-sectional outline of the hook is round. The hook and frame are in the same plane.
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is- The design for a weed-chain hook, SllbStft1liially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
CHARLES F. lllElNhl.
