THOMAS F. JOHNSON, OF NEW BRIGHTON, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A GAGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,156, dated January 30, 1900.
Application filed December 7, 1899. Serial No. 739,579. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, THOMAS F. JOHNSON, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at New Brighton, in the county of Beaver and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new and useful Design in Gages, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
This invention relates to a certain new and novel design for gages.
The invention consists of a gage which is triangular in form, as shown.
The invention has distinct features; and it consists of the novel outline to be hereinafter more particularly described.
In describing the invention in detail reference is had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, and where like numerals of reference indicate corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which-- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the gage. Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof. Fig. 3 is a side elevation of the same.
The body portion of the gage is built up of three webs or strips 1, which come to a common center 2, one of the webs being provided with V-shaped openings 3 3, and another web is provided with a scale or grad nations 4. The web formed with the V-shaped openings is also provided with an inclined side 5. Another web is also provided with a V-shaped opening 6.
It will be noted that this gage is symmetrical in general form and presents a pleasing appearance to the eye.
Having thus described my newand original design, what I claim is The design fora gage, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
THOMAS F. JOHNSON.
