DESIGN FOR A LADLE OR SIMILAR ARTICLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,149, dated January 30, 1900. Application filed January 2, 1900. Serial No. 180. Term of patent '7 years.

Be it known that I,WII.LIAM O. BUEWELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Provideuce, in the countyof Providence and State of Rhode Island, havein vented and produced a new and original Design fora Ladle or Similar Article, of which. the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure l is a side view of my new]ydesigned ladle. Fig. 2 isatop view of the same. Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the bowl on the line X X of Fig. 1.
The essential feature of my design consists in the outline and configuration of the bowl of the ladle, presenting to the eye the appearance of the head of a brassey, such as is used in playing the game of golf.
In the drawings, Aindicates the bowl of the ladle, and B the handle. The bowl has the flat base or bottom 1. The horizontal outline of the bowl A forms an imperfect oval, one of the long sides of which is straight, presenting to the eye the appearance of an oval a portion of one of the long sides of which is cut away. The side 2 of the oval portion of the bowl extends obliquely outward from the bottom, While the side 3, forming the straight portion of the bowl, extends vertically at a right angle to the bottom. The portion 4 of the handle joins the bowl at an obtuse angle and tapers gradually, diminishing in diameter to the point 5, from which it extends in a curved line to the end, with the greatest di-' WVILLIAM 0.
