UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DAVID S. WILLIAMS, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A LAM P-BODY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,090, dated January 9, 1900.
Application filed December 8, 1899- Serial No. 739,717. Term of patent 7 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, DAVID S. WILLIAMS, a
citizen of the United States of America, and a resident of 903 Walnutstreet, in the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsyl- Vania, have invented a new and original design for a Lamp-Body, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a new and original design for the body portion or mixing-chamber of a petroleum incandescent lamp, and is more particularly adapted to that class of lamps producing a light of high candle-power with an incandescent mantle by the use of kerosene-oil vapor under pressure.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, Figure 1 illustrates a perspective View of a lamp-body or mixing-chamber, showing my new design. Fig. 2 represents a front elevation, and Fig. 3 shows a side elevation, of the same.
As illustrated in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a straight vertically-disposed tube or chamber A, which is provided at the top with a conical or bell-shaped portion A and at the lower end with U -shaped branches 0 and O, that curve into a return direction parallel to the tube or chamber A, the tops of the upward portions of the respective branches being provided with cylindrical buruer heads B and B.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a lamp-body substantially as herein shown and described.
Signed by me at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this 7th day of December, 1899.
DAVID S. WILLIAMS.
