UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HARRY VVEARNE, OF RIXHEIM, GERMANY.
DESIGN FOR WALL-PAPER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,054, dated December 26, 1899.
Application filed December 2 1899. Serial No. 739,046. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HARRY WEARNE, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, and a resident of Rixheim, Alsace, Germany, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Wall-Paper, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, in which is represented a section of wallpaper embodying the features of my design.
The leading features of the design consist in the representation of a medallion decorated with a picture of a cupid,a floral wreath surrounding the medallion, a basket of flowers, and a medallion between the basket and the wreath, the latter medallion being decorated with a bow and quiver and a flambeau.
The details of the design are as follows: A medallion bearing a representation of a cupid appears supported within a floral wreath, and
the wreath appears below and is suspended from upwardly and oppositely curved scrolls. A second medallion is located between the scrolls and is apparently connected therewith. This second medallion is decorated with a quiver, a bow, and a flambeau, which are arranged to cross each other and pass through a wreath. A basket containing flowers and feathers is seemingly supported upon the second medallion, and foliate sprays are suitably arranged around the main figures.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent The design for wall-paper as herein shown and described.
HARRY WEARNE.
