UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
MILLER M. DEEM, OF READING, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR IO 1 IE AMERI- CAN SADDLE COMPANY, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO.
DESlGN FOR A TOOL-BAG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,901, dated November 28, 1899.
Application filed October '7, 1899. Serial No. 732,970. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MILLER M. DEEM, a citizen of the United States, residing at Reading, in the county of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Tool-Bag, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a. part thereof.
Figure 1 is a side elevation of a tool-bag, showing my new design. Fig. 2 isan end view thereof; and Figs. 3 and 4 are sections on Fig. 1, Fig. 3 being a vertical section on the line 3 3 and Fig. 4 being a horizontal section on line 4 4:.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist of an oblong bag opening at the top and having sides convexly curving together at the ends and bottom into an external bead extending along the ends and bottom (whereby the general similitude of a boat-hull is obtained) and having a flap extending from one edge of the top opening across the same and down along the opposite side of the bag.
Referring to the parts by letters, A and A represent the two sides, which are convexly curved near their ends and bottom and merge into the keel-like bead B, extending along the bottom and ends. The sideA is extended at its upper edge by the top flap a, which is substantially commensurate with the top of the bag, from the edge of which depends the side flap of.
Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 1s-
The design for a tool-bag, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I hereunto affix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
MILLER M. DEEM.
Witnesses:
WM. ECKERT SHEAFFER, OSCAR KLINE.
