SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 31,341, dated August 1, 1899.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, NELSON SANFORD STEW- ART, a citizen of the United States, residing at Amsterdam, in the county of Montgomery and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design tobe Worked into or upon Carpeting or Similar Fabrics; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving a clear understanding of the same that is sufficient to enable such persons to use my invention.

The said drawing is a face View of the carpet embodying my design, which is Persian,

covering ground with Persian figures ar ranged and treated as shown in the said drawmg.

What I claim, and desire to secure by Let'- ters Patent, is-

The design for carpeting substantially as shown and described.
