Be it known that I, NELSON SANFORD STEW- ART, a citizen of the United States, residing at Amsterdam, county of Montgomery, State 5 of New York, have invented or produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be Wrought into Oarpetings, in such coloring as may be designed and I do hereby declare that the illustration accompanying this specifiea :0 tion gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet weaving and manufacture a clear understanding of the same and is sufiicient to enable such person to use my invention.

\Vhat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
