DESIGN FOR CARPETING.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,336, dated August 1, 1899.

Application filed July 3, 1899. Serial No. 722,774. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, NELSON SANFORD STEW- ART, a citizen of the United States, residing at Amsterdam, in the county of Montgomery and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design to be Worked into or upon Carpeting orSimilar Fabrics; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving a clear understanding of the same that is sufficient to enable such persons to use my invention.

The said drawing is a face View of the carpet embodying my design, consisting of renaissance scrolls and festoons of flowers and leaves arranged and treated as shown in the said drawing.

That I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for carpeting substantially as shown and described.
