SPECIFICATION forming' part of Design No. 30,993, dated June 13, V1899, Application led May 13, 1899. Serial No. 7l6|745- Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom t may concern,.-

Be it known that LWILLTAM HAWKS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Midland, in the county of Midland and State of Michigan, have invented and prod need a new and original Design for Generator-Sheila for Iiydroearbon-Lamps, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the drawings forming a part thereof.

Figure i is a side elevation of this generator-sheli. Fig. 2 is a Vertical central section of the same on dotted line 2 2 of Fig. 3, and Fig. 3 is a horizontal section on dotted line 3 3 of Fig. 2.

As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists in the form or configuration of a generator-shell, said shell being cylindrical in cross-section, as Shown in Fig. 3, tapering slightly from the open upper end toward the bottom. The upper edge flares outwardi yin an annularange A, While the lower end of the shell is contracted slightly in the portion B. This bottom portion B has the central opening C, and just above the bottom portion B is a series of openings D at intervals about the periphery of the shell. lInst below the annular lange A an opening E extends through the Walls of the shell, and diametrieally opposite is provided the smaller opening F.

I claim as my invention- The design for a generator-shell for hydrocarbon-lamps, substantially as herein shown and described.
