DESIGN FOR A WHEAT-STEAMER CASING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,609, dated May 10, 1898. Application filed November 24, 1897. Serial No. 659,716. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM J OHN MER- RIAM, a citizen of the United States, residing at Almont, county of Lapeer, State of Michigan, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Wheat-Steamer Casing, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this specification.
My invention relates to a. new and useful design for a Wheat-steamer and it consists in a casing or shell formed of two conical frustums having their bases arranged at opposite ends thereof and with their contracted extremities united intermediate the ends of the shell, which flares outwardly from the center toward each end, one of which is provided with a flange.
The accompanying drawing represents a perspective of a wheat-steamer casing which embodies my invention.
I have shown in the drawing the leading or material feature of my design, which consists of the casing or shell formed of two conical frustums A A, having their bases arranged at opposite ends thereof and with their contracted extremities united intermediate the ends of the shell, the shell thus flaring outwardly from toward the center. At the upper extremity the casing is formed with the annular collar A projecting outward horizontally therefrom.
