DESIGN FOR A BELT.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it kn own that I, EDWARD J. DEI'rsCH, residing in the cit-y of New York, borough of Manhattan, county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and originalshapeorconguration, aDesign for aBelt, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, of which- Figure 1 of the drawings illustrates a perspective view of the belt having its free ends tied, and Fig. E. illustrates a perspective View of the belt with the front ends untied.
A A' represent two parts of the belt. Each ofthe two parts of the belt consists of an upper and a lower band a a'.
b is a knot by which the two parts of the belt are connected det-achably together upon the rear portion thereof when the belt is not in use.
c c' represent two loops or stays by which the upper and lower bauds of the two parts of the belt are secured one upon the other near the free ends thereof, and these stays are located iu such a manner as to hold the upper and lower hands in substantially the same vertical plane.
To the free ends of the two parts ofthe belt are secured pieces or strips of leather or other suitable material d d'.
eis a band connected to the free end of part A' between the two bands a a' thereof and under the stays c', by means of which the opposite free ends of part A may be drawn to and firmly secured to the opposite free end of part A'.
The featul es of my design consist of a two partbelt, each of which parts is doubled, having rounded and plaited bands lyingone upon the other, with loops at their free ends and tied or knotted together at the rear portions of the said parts. The front looped free ends of one of said parts has connected to it n tieband.
The belt is made of leather, but may be made of any other suitable material.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
