TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, SAMUEL CRUMP, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a, new Design for Labels; and Ldo hereby declare that the following is c full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making a portion of this spccilicntion, which repreresents- A label made according to my design.

In the drawing are shown the stem e, branches d, leaves e, owers f, und fruit g of the cassava-plant, the stem c terminating, at its lower end, in bulbous figures, m, representing the roots of such plant, the several parts mentioned together constituting the figure of the cassave-plant entire, the upper portion of thc stem, with the branches, leaves, flowers, and fruit, being represented within the circle a, and the lower portion, with the bulbous roots within the smaller circlevb, the whole of my design being embraced within thc black lines on the drawing. l

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design and configuration of a. trade-mark, as herein shown and described.
