DESIG N.
No. 30,6!9. Patented Apr. 25, I899. C. D. GERVIN.
GAS BURNER.
(Application filed Apr. 91, 1897.)
WITNESSES: INVENTOR CHARLES I).
GERVIN,
PATENT OFFICE.
OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A GAS-BURNER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,619, dated April 25, 1899.
Application filed April 21, 1897. Serial No. 633,191- Term of patent '7 years.
To all M lt/flit it nm concern.-
lc it known that I, CHARLES D. GERVIN, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the cityof New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a, new and original Design fora Gas-Burner, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, and in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of the said burner as seen from above and Fig. 2 is a perspective view thereof as seen from below.
The nature of my novel design consists in a gas-burner formed in the following manner: The central body of the burner is of invertedacorn shape with vertical beads converging downward to its contracted lower end. He ncath this is a cylindical base uniting with the body by a molding and encircled at its lower end by a bead and havingin its bottom an annular range of perforations. Above the body is a galler irojccting outward and downward, having a dished uppersurface, in which are radial slots harmonizing with the vertical beads in the body. The gallery is surmounted by a dome of nearly cylindrical shape, converging slightly upward and hav ing a slightly-convex top, in which are several concentric ranges of perforations. The dished form or vertical curvature of the galler as represented in Fig. 1, causes it to project upward toward the center and assume a nearly vertical position, where it merges with the nearly vertical walls of the dome.
The following is what I claim as new and of my invention in the above-described ornamental design for a gas-burner:
The design for a gas-burner; substantially as herein shown and described.
CHARLES D. GERVIN.
