This invention relates to a design for detachable fasteners for gloves and other articles; and the invention consists of a design for the socket member of a detachable fastener, as shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 represents a perspective view of a socket member of a detachable fastener constructed in accordance with my design. Fig. 2 is a top or plan view of the same; Fig. 3, an inverted or bottom plan thereof, and Fig. 4 a central vertical section of the device, the device being shown on an enlarged scale in all the figures.
The socket member shown comprises a h0llow shell or body A, having a bulged center and slightly tapered or contracted toward each end, so as to produce a barrel-shaped form, and an annular plate or washer B, oncircling the base or lower contracted end of the shell above an outturned base-flange a on the latter and having its main portion between the shell and its outer edge depressed or concaved annularly and forming an inner annular lip or flange b, which is raised above the lower surface of the washer and rests on the base-flange of the shell, as shown, the said shell having a slit therein, as at a, and an inturned edge or lips a on a plane with its base-flange, while the lower or depressed surface of the washer is in the same plane or flush with the lower surface of the said flange.
What I claim is- The design for the socket member of a detachable fastener as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aliix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
