DESIGN FOR A BUTTER-CURLER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,031, dated July 12, 1898.
Application filed April 25, 1898. Serial No. 678,824. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, JULIA ELLEN HA- WORTH and SAM ILUYOR'PH, subjects of the Queen of Great Britain, residing at Southport, in the county of Lancaster, England, have invented and produced a newand original Design for a Butter-Curler, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, which shows a perspective view of our butter-curler.
The object of the design is to provide a curler by which pieces of butter are shaved 01f from the block and then shaped or curled into pats ready for use.
The leading feature of our design consists in the peculiar shape or configuration of the end of the implement, which is semicircular or claw-shaped in its general outline and whose edge is sharpened and provided with serrations or flutings.
In the drawing, A is the curler, the end of which is semicircular or claw-shaped in its general contour. From the semicircular or hook-shaped end the implement curves gradually to the handle, in which it is socketed. One edge of the semicircular or hookshaped end of the curler is sharpened and formed with serrations or flutings a, while the inside of the face of this semicircular end is made slightly concave.
\Vhat we claim is The design fora butter-curler substantially as herein shown and described.
