DESIGN FOR AN ORNAM ENTAL BOX.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,686, dated. May 24, 1898.

Application filed April 6, 1898. Serial No. 676,718. Term of patent 3% years.

Be it known that I, ERNST SOHN, of the city of St. Louis, State of Missouri, have invented a new and original Design for an Ornamental Box, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.

The figure is a perspective View of my ornamental box embodying my design.

As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a rectangular hollow body 1, having an open front. Arranged upon the center of the bot tom of the frame or body 1 and against the back thereof is the outline of the figure 2,which is the subject of the picture, and appearing upon the back of the frame or body 1 is a corrugated background Extending from the top of the box or frame 1 to the sides thereof, at a slight distance in front of the figure 2, is suitable drapery 4, and immediately in front of this drapery, around the entire edge of the box or frame 1, is a continuous curved decoration 5, which is so arranged as that aclear and unobstructed view of the figure 2 is readily obtained.

I claim- The design for an ornamental box, as herein shown and described.
