Description

DESIGN.
A. W. WALKER. RANGE.
No. 28,600. Patented May 10, 1898.
Ji I Him! UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ARTHUR W. \VALKER, OF MALDEN, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A RANGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,600, dated May 10, 1898.
Application filed January 7, 1898. Serial No. 665,979- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ARTHUR W. WALKER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Malden, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for a Range, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a range illustrating my design, and Fig. 2 is a larger top or plan view thereof.
The leading feature of my design consists in the range as a unitary article, comprising the top plate and hearth, having each a longitudinally convexed or bulging edge at the oven side of the range and the projecting shelf below the oven-door, the long edge of said shelf being also longitudinally convexed.
In the drawings the top plate P of the range has its edge 1) at the oven side of the range longitudinally convexed or bulged, and the edge h of the hearth His also convexed or bowed in the direction of its length at the oven side of the range, while the shelf S below the oven-door has its long edge s convexed or bowed in the direction of its length.
A very peculiar and pleasing effect is attained by my design, and the stiff and boxlike appearance common in stoves and ranges is completely obviated.
Having fully described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patcut, is-
The design for a range, substantially such as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
ARTHUR \V. WALKER.
