CHARLES MILLS, OF NEWTON, MASSACHUSETTS, ASSIGNOR TO THE PETTEE MACHINE W'ORKS, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A GUIDE FOR FLAT-GRINDING MACHINES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,423, dated March 29, 1898.
Application filed Uctober 14. 1897. Serial No. 655,222. Term of patent 14 years.
T0 ail whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES MILLS, a subject of Victoria, Queen of Great Britain, residing in Newton Upper Falls, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented e new and useful Design for a Guide for Flat-Grinding Machines, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a side View of a guide-plate embodying my design, and Fi g, 2 is a plan view thereof. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section on line 3 3, Fig. 2; and Fig. 4, a cross-section on line 4 4, Fig. 2.
The leading or material feature of my design consists in a guide plate or block B, having the concave side face or surface A, which is of one curve between the points a. a' and is of a different curve between the points a' and a2.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
The design for a guide for a fiat-grinding machine as herein shown and described.
