ROBERT II. POITLETHYVAI'IE, OF SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, ASSIGNOR TO THE RISDON IRON AND LOCOMOTIVE \VORKS, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A BEARlNG-BRACKET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,1 59, dated January 1 I, 1898.
Application filed ecember 6, 1897. Serial No. 660,975. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ROBERT II. Pos rnn- THWAITE, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, residing in the city and county of San Francisco, State of California, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Bearing-Bracket, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the an nexed drawing, showing the design in outline.
The present design for a bearing-bracket consists of a V-shaped frame A, united to a straight wall-plate A, the whole being divided by a central horizontal shelf or plate A so as to form approximately a double triangular frame. At the apex of the V-shaped frame is formed the outer bearing-box B, and centrally in the wall-plate A is formed the bearing-box B. These bearing-boxes are arranged parallel and in the same horizontal plane, and each bearing-box is formed with a longitudinal shaft-opening a. In each triangular frame is secured the strengtheningplate B In the wall-plate above and below the bearing-box B are formed the bolt-holes a, through which the fastening-bolts extend.
The essential feature of my design is a double triangulanshaped bracket sustaining two parallel bearing-boxes in the same hori zontal plane.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure protection in by Design Letters Patent, is-
The design for a bearing-bracket, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature, in the presence of witnesses, this 30th day of October, 1897.
