H T I m WE T mm G s m m P E .B H R No. 28,161. Patented Jan. 11, 1898.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ROBERT II. POSTLETIIXVAITE, OF SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, ASSIGXOR TO THE RISDON IRON AND LOCOMOTIVE \VORKS, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A BEARING-BRACKET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,161, dated January 1 1, 1898.
Application filed December 6, 1897. Serial No. 660,977. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ROBERT II. POSTLE- THWAITE, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, residing in the city and (301111 ty of San 5 Francisco, State of California, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Bearing-Bracket, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the annexed drawing, showing the design in outline.
The present design for a bearing-box consists of a base or wall plate A, united to a V- shaped frame A, so as to form the base thereof. \Vithin the V-shaped frame is a triangu- 15 lar-shaped plate B, which serves as a strengthening-web for the frame. The apex of the said frame terminates in a bearing-box B, from which outwardly projects a forwardlycurved arm 0, which carries a bearing-box C at approximately a right angle to the bearing-box l5 and in the samehorizontal plane. In each bearing-box is formed a shaft-opening I) and in the face or wall plate A a series of bolt-openings b.
The essential feature of the design consists of a face or wall plate united to a V-shaped frame carrying at its apex a hearing-box and provided with an outwardly-projecting forwardly-curved arm carrying a bearing-box approximately in the same horizontal plane, but at an angle to the bearing-box of the said V-shaped frame.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure protection in by Design Letters Patent, is-
The design for a bearing-bracket substan' tially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aiiix my signature, in the presence of witnesses, this 30th day of October, 1897.
ROBERT II. POS'ILE'IIIIVAI'IE.
