IIIINEAS II. YORK, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, ASSIGNOR TO THE TONK MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A DUET-BENCH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,031, dated December 14, 1897.
Application filed November 1, 1897. Serial No. 657,108. Term of patent 7 years.

Do it known that I, PHINEAS II. YORK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Duet-Benches, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which shows a perspective view of a duet-bench embodying my design.
The leading feature of my design consists in a rectangular seat of considerably greater length than width, having an edge ornamented by suitable molding and resting on vertical columns at each corner, the columns being ornamented by vertical flutings and suitable caps and bases, the pair of columns at each end of the bench resting on a transverse supporting-piece having molded edges and provided with feet at each of its ends.
A represents the seat, which is rectangular in form, of considerably greater length than Width, and provided with an edge ornamented by suitable moldings, as shown at a. Under each end of the seat are located fluted columns B, arranged in pairs and provided with ornamental capitals b and bases 1), each pair of columns resting on a transverse supporting-piece C, suitably ornamented with moldings and provided at each of its ends with feet 0.
I claim The design for a duet-bench,substantially as herein shown and described.
