DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE-FRAME.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,186, dated June 8, 1897'.
Application filed April 14, 1897. Serial No. 632,184- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY BUSSE, a citizen of the United States, residing at iVilliamsport, in the county of Lycoming and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bicycle-Frames, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The accompanying drawing illustrates my design.
The leading feature of my design consists of a bicycle-frame having a circular rear portion havinga rear-Wheel bearingeccentricall y located therein and a connecting-bar extending forward from the top of this circular rear portion.
A represents the steering-head, and B is the frame. The frame consists in the main of a tube or bar 1, extending from the steering-head rearward and downward and then around in the form of a circle, having a hearing at 3 between the parts of the frame for a sprocket-wheel and terminating in a hearing 4 within the circle for the rear axle. It also consists in a baror tube 5, extending straight rearward from the upper end of the steeringhead to the top of the circular rear portion of the frame and terminating in an upturned seat-post at its rear end.
\Vhat I claim is The design for bicycle-frames substantially as herein shown and described.
