DESIGN FOR A BODY FOR MATCH-BOXES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,316, dated November 24, 1896. Application filed September 24, 1896. Serial No. 606,894. Term of patent 14 years lie it known that I, Aiiiilsox X. Liliana, a citizen of the United States, residing at Plain- \*ille, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Match-Box Body, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, whivh is a perspeetive \lQW of said box.
This invention relates to the rims of matchboxes adapted to be secured to orh ting against a wall or other vertical support, and my said invention seeks to provide a new and pleasing design for the body portion of this class of boxes.
The leading features of my design consist of a substantially square front (I, having near its top an opening a, that extends nearly across said front. The sides 0 of said box extend rearward from the said front, and substantially at right angles thereto, a dis-tuner equal to about half the width of the front the extreme rear edge oi.
