SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,259, dated November 10, 1896.
Application filed June 22,1896, Serial No 596,551. Tenn of patent 14 years,
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, EDWIN 1'. SMITH and FRANK A. SMITH, citizens of the United States, residing at Union City, in the county of New 5 Haven and State of Connecticut, have in vented and produced a new and original Design for Self-Looking Garment-Hooks; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description ot' the same,
10 reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Our new design of garment-hook is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 represents a plan of the hook, and Fig. 2 represents a side elevation.
The leading feature of the design consists in a garment-hook having a base composed of two straight side portions, a bill substan 2o tially 1n rallel therewith, and a tongue lying between the two base portions, the tongue being straight along its under side and having anarrow rib or knob rising from its upper surface under the straight bill.

l 3, the attaching-eyes, and 1' the tongue, the latter extending parallel with and between the two side portions of the base and having the narrow rib or knob ti rising from the upper surface of its forward portion. The under surface of the tongue is straight and par allel with the under surface of the base 2, while the upper surface of the elongated narrow top knob o is l'Ulll1'lQtl,2lS indirated in Fig.
The bill l is flattened and is substantially parallel with the base 2 in side elevation, as shown in Fig. 2, and in plan is open above the knob or rib H.
The design for a garment-hook substantially as shown and described.
