'IO ALL PERSONS TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME:
Be it known that I, GEORGE BUNTIN, of East Boston, in the county of Suffolk, and State of Massachusetts, have invented or produced a new and useful Design for a Railway Car Seat End Frame, and do hereby declare the same to be fully described in the following specification, and represented in the accompanying drawings, of which- .Figure 1 is a front elevation.-
Figure 2, an end elevation; and
Figure 3 a. vertical section of a railway-carriage seat with its end frame formed in accordance with my design.
In the drawings, A is the seat, and B the reversible back thereof. The seat rests on two supporting bars, a a, one being underneath its front and the other being underneath its rear part. These bars are tenoned and fastened into socketed projections, s s, extending from the end frame C. Other or foot-rest bars, b b, are arranged belowthe seat, and in socketed projections, t t, extending from the end frame. The arm-rest of the frame C is shown at c. It is arranged wholly on one side of a vertical plane passing through the most pro'- jecting part d of the frame, the frame being bent back as shown at e, as it rises up from the seat. In descending below the seat, the frame also, has another bend, (as shown at f, in figs. 1 and 2,) which extends down to the footfbar holders e e. From thence the frame extends vertically downward. The form of the said end frame, in side and edge views, is given in the drawings.
I claim, as my invention, the design for a car seat end frame, as hereinbefore described, andas exhibited in the above-mentioned drawings.
v- GEORGE BUNTIN. Witnesses:
