UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ALEXANDER HARRISON, OF TERRE HAUTE, INDIANA, ASSIGNOR OF TW'O- THIRDS TO PETER N. STAFF AND GEORGE L. NEIVTON, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A BADGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,304, dated March 31, 1896. Application filed February 8, 1896. Serial No. 578,613. Term of patent 3% years.
i aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ALEXANDER HARRISON, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Terre Haute, in the county of Vigo and State of Indiana, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Badge, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Similar letters of reference refer to similar parts throughout the drawings.
Figure 1 is a front View of my newly-invented design for a badge. Fig. 2 is a View of the back of-my design for a badge.
The leading features of my design consist, first, in a rectangular or oblong frame A, into which are out two rectangular openings at and a, through each of which a panel placed behind the frame A may be seen, and a long slit 11 extending across the bottom of the frame A, through which a ribbon C is sewed, and, second, a facsimile of a broom, the handle 7L of which extends perpendicularly across the middle of the frame A, between the openings a and a, and the broom extends upward and above the frame A, as shown in the drawings. The two lateral edges of the frame A are bent back for the purpose of clasping and holding panels, cardboards or other similar articles behind the frame A, as shown in Fig. 2.
I claim- The design for a badge herein described and shown.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I affix my signature in the presence of two witnesses. I
ALEXANDER HARRISON.
