DESIGN FOR A SLEIGH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,135, dated. February 4, 1896.
Application filed June 26. 1895. Serial No. 554,146. Term of patent 33 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HARVEY A. MOYER, of Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga, in the State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Sleighs, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the aceoinpan yin g drawing, showing a part thereof.
This design pertains to a sleigh-body, the leading feature of which design consists in the contour of the base-line of said body, the central and main portion a of which is curved slightly and gradually upward from the cen ter toward opposite ends. The front portion of said base-line is extended with a more abrupt upwardly-curved portion 1) and thence terminated with a forward sweep c of reduced curvature. The rear portion of said base-line is continued with a gradually-increasing upward curvature, as shown at d, terminating nearly or quite vertically and higher than the extremity of the front sweep c.
The top line of the body extends from the portion ('1 a short distance from the upper end thereof and in an approxilnately-horizontal direction toward the front, with a slightly depressed central portion, as at r, and is thence curved abruptly downward, as at f, and continued with an approxiinately-rertical portion g, thence curved abruptly forward, as at h, and extended with a prolonged approxiniately-horizontal and slightly centrally-depressed portion 1', terminating with a more prominently upwardlycu rved portion j joining the base-line (I at the junction of the portions 7) c.
\Vhat 1 claim as my invention is-- The design for a sleigh substantially as described and shown.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my name this 24 th day of June, 1895.
HARVEY A. MOYER. [Ls] Vitnesses:
G. L. BENDIXON, JOHN J. LAASS.
