DESIGN FOR A TRUNK CORNER-IRON.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,703, dated September 24, 1895. Application filed May 28, 1895. denial No. 551,003- Term of patent 7 years.

To all whwn it may concern.-

Be it known that I, JEROME M. SCHWERIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented acertain new and useful Design for Trunk Corner-Irons; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which fOl'lli part of this specification.

My invention relates to designs for trunk corner-irons; and it consists in the novel configuration and ornamentation shown.

The design is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure lis a perspective viowof my invention, taken from the inside of the corner iron or clamp; and Fig. 2 is alike view taken from the outside of the iron.

The trimming herein shown is for the corner of a trunk and being in design a right angle in longitudinal vertical section, having the lower ornamental leaf a and the upper ornamental leaf 1). At each side of said lower leaf a its external configuration is formed by upwardly-extending flanges a a, which are rounded at their inner ends at o, where the lower leaf or meets the upperleaf Z), and at 0. where they meet the outwardly-extending flanges b b, forming the external configuration of the upper leaf b. The flanges a, a and l) b are rounded at their extreme free ends, where they meet the edges of said lower leaf a and the upper leaf i). The lower and upper leaves aand h terminate in the curved ends, as shown.

The leading feature of my design is the arrangement of the leaves a and 1), formed at a right angle to each other, having the outwardly-extending flanges a and I), respectively, which terminate in the curved ends, substantially as shown.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim is- The design for a trunk corner iron, substantially as herein shown and described.
