DESIGN FOR ORNAMENTAL FABRIC.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,560, dated August 13, 1895. Application filed June 26, 1895. Serial No. 554,138. Term ofpatent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, ABRAHAM G. J ENNINGS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Rrooklyn, county of Kings, and State of .New A ork, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Ornamental Fabric, of which the following is a specification.

The leading feature of my design is an ornamental fabric of essentially the ornamentation and representation exhibited in the accompanying drawing, which shows a section of fabric embodying my design.

In the drawing, A is the fabric, and B is a border therefor.

The design is as represented, consisting of a fabric A, exhibiting the dark irregular polygons a a, each presenting a tufted appearance or effect, alternated with the contrasting lighter irregular polygons b b, also presenting a tufted appearance or effect, the general effect of the tufted appearance of the polygons a, a being to produce an apparent overhanging of the edges c o of the polygons a over the borders or edges d dof the polygons b, thus partially obscuring the polygons b b and lending to the polygons a a an appearance or effect of being larger than they really are.

What I claim is- The design for an ornamental fabric substantially as described and shown in the accompanying drawing.
