DESIGN FOR A BEDSTEAD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,710, dated October 16, 189 4.
Application filed April 12,1894. Serial No. 507,317. Term of patent 354 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FREDERICK IIOSKINS, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, and a resident ofBirmingham,in the county of \Varick, England, have invented a new and Original Design for Bedsteads, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact specification.
This design consists of a novel form or shape for a bedstead, and is embodied in the accompanying drawing which represents a perspective view of such bedstead.
The leading features of my design are an upright rear frame surmounted by a forwardly projecting rod, portions of the rear frame projecting forwardly or outwardly at or near the base thereof and having curved side arms rising from said forwardly projecting portion and connecting about centrally with said rear frame,a rectangular frame having end rods connecting attheir opposite ends side rods, which side rods consist of upper curved rods,and lower straight rods; the said rectangular frame being supported at or near one end by the rear frame, and at the opposite end by legs.
A designates the rear frame surmounted by the forwardly projecting rod A and having a lower projecting portion a which supports at a, a the rectangular frame B. Curved side arms a a rise up at about these points of support and connect with the uprights of the frame A at about midway of the same. The rectangular frame B consists of end pieces I) b, and side rods b',b', which side rods consist of two parts, an upper curved rod b and a. lower straight rod 11 From the opposite end of the mattress supporting frame, depend the legs C.
Having thus set forth the nature and form of my design, I claim The design for a bedstead substantially as herein shown and described.
