DESIGN FOR A CASING FOR VENDING-MACHINES,
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,666, dated August 1, 1893.
Application filed July 10. 1893.
.To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, J OHN R. ROWLANDS, of Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga, in the State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Casings for Vending-Machines, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a description.
My design consists of a casing for vending machines as shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a front elevation thereof and Fig. 2 a central vertical section.
A is the substantially fiat surface of the front face of the casing which is contracted at its upper end, and is formed with a raised central portion a. This surface shows an ornamentation at its upper end.
I B are raised side bars having their upper ends separated less than their opposite ends and their central portions provided with inwardly inclining or curving portions 1) b.
C is a base bar beneath the bars B B having its ends of greater width than its central portion and projecting beyond the adjacent ends of the bars B B, and having its central portion provided with a saucer shaped project-ion c.
D is a top bar having its central portion elevated above its extremities and provided with a projecting upper arm (I and aprojecting lower arm (2', and (Z (Z are caps spanning the adjacent ends of the side bars l3 l3 and the top bar D.
E is a depressed panel interposed between 5 the side bars B B, and formed with a series of angular or diamond shaped depressions e and having its surface divided into aseries of diamond shaped portions of greater area than the depressions e by a series of projections e. The outer edge of the panel E is surrounded by a raised molding 12 F and G are depressed panels beneath and smaller than the panel E, and arranged re spectively at an incline and perpendicular to the base bar 0. This outline and arrangement of the flat surface formed with raised side bars, a curved upper edge, and a de pressed panel interposed between said bars are ornamental and pleasing in appearance. 0
What I claim is The design for casings for vending inachines, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my name, in the presence of two attesting witnesses, at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga, in the State of New York, this 15th day of May, 1893.
JOHN R. ROVVLANDS.
