DESIGN FOR A KNOB AND LOCK ESCUTCHEON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,706, dated July 12, 1892.
Appiication filed May 31,1892 Serial No. 435,079- Terin of patent 14 years.

lie it known that I, ltrnou'ns W. l0. Cnms'r- FSFIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at New llritain, in the county of Hartford and State of (onnet-t icnt, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Knob and Look Eseutchcon,of which the following is a specification. reference being had to the accompanying drawing, showing the same.
The single figure in the drawing is a front elevation of an eseuteheon, showing my de- Sign.
The leading teatu re of my design consists of aseries o? raised ornaments in the form of intersecting scrolls, the same being of a rounded form in imitation of ornamental wire-work placed over a suitable ground.
A designates a rosette around the knob-esentcheon, said rosette consisting principally of leaflets tangentially arranged. Surroundinglhe keyhole-eseulcheons l and 2 is a rounding head I), extending up and down in straight; lines on either side and squarely across the bottom, as shown. From the upper ends of these beads 21 1} the rounded wire-like beads extend both up and down in the form of Va rions branching scrolls 4,2111 in imitation of wire-work and interspersed with occasional leaflets 5 and bunches of ctmvontional fruit (3, all being on a suitable ground. I also form ornamental transverse bars 7 at the upper and lower ends.
What I claim is- The design fora knob and lock eseuteheon, as herein shown and described.
