Description

D23-351 EX DESIGN.
J. E. BIDWELL.
RADIATOR.
No. 22,493. Patented May 30, 1893.
JOEL E. IDiVELL, 0F KALAMAZUU, MICHIGAN.
DESIGN FOR A RADIATOR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,493, dated May 30, 1893.
Application filed March 1. 1393. Serial No. 464,258. Temi oi patent. 7 years.
To (LZZ whom it muy concern.-
Be it known that l, JOEL lil. linwnm., a citizen of the United States, residing at thc f ty of Kalamazoo, in the county of Kalamazoo and State of Michigan, have invented a certain new and useful Design for Radiators, of which the following is a specification.
The accompanying,r drawing represents a perspective View of one of my newly designed radiators.
The radiator loopsI are connected together and each provided with an imitation of a hop vino bearing its peculiar leaves a, and fruit l), arranged to run from or over the top of each loop I part Way down each side and terminating in a cluster of hops 5,1), at the end. 0n the lower portions of each loop I, on each side is a similar decoration composed of a. hop vine combined with its leaves a, and hops b, terminating in a cluster of hops b, b, at the top. A plain portion l), is left between the decorations at the top and the decorations at the bottom of the loops.
The design gives the radiator the appearance of being,r trimmed at the top and bottom with vines of the hop. 'lhe hops, leaves and vines are so varied that the rows of hopsand leaves show very distinctly across the loops. This has the effect to break the sameness of appearance from the top to the bottom of the radiator. 'lhe n u mber of theloops l in my radiator may be varied, or the height changed, as neither is essential to my design, the essential thing being a radiator design in which the loops of the radiator have the appearance of being decorated at both the top and the bottom with the vine of the hop as shown in the accompanying drawing.
That I claim is- The design for a radiator as herein described and shown.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal in the presence of two witnesses.
JOEL E. BIDWELL.
