DESlGN FOR A WATCH-CASE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,487, dated April 19, 1892.

Application filed March 17, 1892- Serial No. 425,370. Term of patent. 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, THOMAS BENEIELD, a subject of Her Majesty the Queen of Great Britain, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have in vented and produced a new and original Design for Watch-Cases, of which the followingis a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

Figure 1 is a plan view of a watcl1case,sl1o\ving my design. Fig. 2 is a sectional view thereof, taken on the line X X of Fig. 1.

The leading, or material feature of my design consists of aseries of ribs A, disposed or arranged as shown in Fig. 1, being curved in their length and spread out in fan shape and convex in cross-section, as shown in Fig. 2, one portion of the case near its lower end being left plain, as shown at B. The several portions, in is manifest, may be engraved, chased, or otherwise ornamented, if desired.

This design is applicable to lockets and other similar articles.
