SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,612, dated Mart-h 24, 1891.

To all whom it may concern.-

lie it known that I, HENRY W. liiu'rox, a citizen of the United States, residing at Yonkers, \Yestchcstcr county, New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, rel ercnce being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets orsimilar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face View of a carpet, showing my new design.

My design consists of the body A and the border ii. The body A consists of groups of conventionalizcd flowerand leaf forms springing from a somewhat root-shaped form and upon a ground ornamented by leaves and branch work. The border 13 consists ofgroups ol' conventionalized ilower and leaf forms springing from a sommvhnt root-shaped form and upon a ground ornamented by leaves and branch work and of an inner marginal ornabody A, substantially as shown.
