DESIGN FOR A CLASP OR BUCKLE FOR BELTS OR SASHES.
SYECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,094, dated August 12, 1890.
Application filed June 16, 1890. Serial No. 355,646. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
lie it known that I, ALEXANDER W. lATLlL mm, a subject of the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, residing, at Birmingham, England, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Clasps or Buckles for llelts or Sashes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, which represents a front view of my design.
The design includes novelty in both the contour and surface ornamentation of a clasp or buckle of a sash. The link is shown at 1. It has a narrow but slightly-flaring end 2 and an expanded portion 3. The part2has longitudinal lines -l-and suwounding-lines 5, which represent leather bands, this part being intended to represent the handle of a tennisracket. The expanded end of the link has ridges crossing each other rectangularly and made tosimulaie the woven work of a racket. The outer border of this expanded part is smooth and is raised somewhat above the level of the representation of weaving.
6 represent cross-bars, and 7 a sash, band, or hell; extending from the cross-bars.
What I claim is The design for a clasp or buckle, substantially as herein shown and described.
