DESIGN FOR A POCKET-FLASK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,230, dated July 23, 1889.
Application filed June 22, 1889. Serial N0. 315,277. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it nmy concern.-
Be it known that I, CHARLES H. READ, acitizen of the United States, residing at Pittsbnrg, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and pro duced a new and original Design for Pocket- Flasks; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a front view of my newly-designed flask. Fig. 2 is an edge view.
The leading feature of my design consists in the flask representing a boxing-glove, one side of the flask being oval to conform to the shape of the back of abortinglove, the other or front side of the flask being slightly concaved to represent the palm of the hand, and around which, in their natural order, are arranged the thumb and the four fingers of the hand, formed in indented outlines, as shown in Fig. 1.
A indicates the main body of the flask; B, the thumb, and C the fingers.
D is a band formed on the upper end of the flask, and is of an oval shape to correspond to the human wrist.
E is a central projection formed centrally of the flask, and is provided with a cap or cover F, which is spirally fluted, as shown.
What I claim is The design fora flask, as herein shown and described, the same consisting of the oval back, the eoncaved front, having indented outlines of the thumb and fingers of the human hand, provided with a neck or band D and aspirally-fiuted top or cover F, as set forth, representing a. boxing-glove.
