SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,178, dated June 25, 1889. Application filed June 1I 1839. Serial No. 312,932. Term ofpatent 3% years.
To all whom t may concern.-
Be it known that I, MORRIS FATMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York city, in the eouniy of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cloths for Cloakings; and I do hereby declare the following to be a fnll, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, in which a faee View of the cloth is represented.
The leading feature of my design consists in the representation of bands or stripes composed of the following members-zl e., first, a continuons straight line resembling the stem of a vine or twig, along which and alternately on opposite sides whereof are produced substantially circular outlines, which are the second member of the design, within which are produced the third member, consisting of trefoil-shaped or three-leaved figures. These three members, as stated, are arranged as shown and constitute bands which extend across the face of the cloth. The several bands are separated by a space on the cloth, which emphasizes them optically.
In the drawing, A is the straight line or vine-like member. B are the substantially circular members, arranged alternately on opposite sides of the line, and C are the trefoil-shaped members within the circular members.
I claim- The design for cloth for cloakings herein shown and described, the same comprising, essentially, the straight-line or vine-likemember, the substantially circular members arranged alternately on opposite sides thereof, and a trefoil or three-leaved member iuclosed within the substantially circular members, as set forth.
In testimony whereof` I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
MORRIS FATMAN.
