DESIGN FOR A BUILDING-BRICK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,055, dated April 23, 1889.
Application filed November 28, 1838, serial No. 292,133. Term of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, \VILLIAM I l. FISH, a citizen of the United States, residing at C0- lumbus, in the county of Franklin, and in the State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Building-Brick, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a face view of a brick wall having a panel therein formed of my newly-designed brick. Fig. 2 is a view in perspective of one of said bricks on a larger scale.
My design differs from an ordinary building-brick in that one of its faces is provided with a central angular ridge having beveled faces and ends, and upon said beveled faces and ends is imprinted an uneven surface, as hereinafter described.
As shown in the accompanying drawings, all the faces of the brick are plain except one,
and that face has a double bevel, a, to produce a central acute ridge, that has formed thereon a roughened surface, I), provided with many facets, and is also beveled at the ends. Bricks thus formed are ornamental, and also of good appearance when laid together to form a panel, as shown in Fig. 1 of the drawings, or when used in the formation of round or curved surfaces.
\\hat I claim is The herein-described design for a buildingbrick having one of its faces provided with a central acute ridge beveled at the ends, and having its surface irregular, roughened, and provided with facets, substantially as shown and described.
